Meet the Caridants!

Discovered inside an icy comet fragment orbiting Saturn, these tiny aquatic creatures are now ready to move into your home. Courtesy of AquaNet laboratories, naturally.

Caridant is an aquarium management and selective breeding game where your pets build a world of their own. Care for your colony, discover colourful inherited traits, and watch your Caridants dig tunnels, build shelters, and turn the substrate into a living network of chambers.

🔬 Inside Your Laboratory

• A colony that shapes its home. Watch your Caridants excavate tunnels, build and reinforce structures, and create chambers for resting, raising young, storing food, and more.
• Genetics you can explore. Breed for colours, patterns, eye traits, and shimmering shell finishes. Follow family trees, select your breeding stock, and work towards stable lines.
• An aquarium to care for. Balance food, space, water cleanliness, oxygen, temperature, and minerals. Keep an eye out for illness and parasites.
• Make room for little lives. Arrange plants, rocks, driftwood, and roots to provide shelter and natural grazing surfaces.
• Grow your collection. Manage multiple tanks, separate breeding groups, buy and sell specimens, and fulfil customer orders to build your reputation.
• Take a closer look. Follow individual Caridants through the live specimen lens, or watch the LIVE CAM highlight events across your tanks.
• Tune in to AquaNet Radio. A retro laboratory soundtrack and an opinionated radio host accompany life in the colony.

A Small World With Real Responsibilities

Caridant combines observation and collecting with active management. Your animals can become ill or die, equipment needs attention, and the laboratory has bills to pay. Watch, experiment, and learn what helps your colony thrive.

🎮 Controls

• Mouse: Select creatures and interact with the aquarium.
• Drag / Mouse wheel: Move the view / Zoom.
• 1–4: Select Observe, Food, Plants, or Hardscape.
• Right-click: Open the tool wheel.
• S: Switch between habitats and the tank view.
• P: Open the AquaNet PC.
• Space: Pause or resume.
• L: Show room information.
• M: Mute or unmute audio.

Development Build

Caridant is still in development. Systems, balance, and presentation may change as the game evolves.

For browser play, use the Export option to keep a separate backup of your colony, especially before updating the game or clearing browser data.
